Organized by AnimeCon.org, Anime Midwest is a three-day regional anime convention focused on authentic Japanese culture and anime. The event will take place July 3–5, 2026, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, United States. First held in 2011, it will celebrate its 16th anniversary in 2026. Anime Midwest 2026 is a family-friendly event and is open to the public. Bring the whole family—there’s something for everyone!
About the Organizer
Established in 2010, AnimeCon.org is a professional group of nerds that started out organizing anime events as a fun way to make friends and connect with the fellow fans. Most of the people who staff the convention have worked on the event for years and have dozens of events worth of experience keeping congoers safe and ensuring a fun and exciting weekend.
About the Venue
Located in Rosemont, Illinois, Donald E. Stephens Convention Center (DES) one of the premiere convention and exhibit facilities in the country, offering a total of 840,000 square feet of flexible exhibition space for trade shows, meetings, conferences, banquets or events.
