"Illinois Anime Convention"Organized by AnimeCon.org, Anime-ZAP is a three-day regional convention focused on anime, video games, comic books, and popular culture, filled with cosplays, vendors selling anime merchandise, and amazingly talented artists. The event will take place January 9–11, 2026, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton East Peoria Riverfront Hotel in East Peoria, Illinois, United States. First held in 2010, it will celebrate its 17th anniversary in 2026. Anime-ZAP 2026 is a family-friendly event and is open to the public. Bring the whole family—there’s something for everyone!
About the Organizer
Established in 2010, AnimeCon.org is a professional group of nerds that started out organizing anime events as a fun way to make friends and connect with the fellow fans. Most of the people who staff the convention have worked on the event for years and have dozens of events worth of experience keeping congoers safe and ensuring a fun and exciting weekend.
